Ordering and Payment

Who is Backyard Kitchens Direct?

We're a veteran-owned family business in Orange Park, Florida, focused on outdoor kitchens: built-in and freestanding gas grills, griddles, side and power burners, outdoor kitchen islands, refrigeration, smokers, and the components and accessories that go with them.

Do you have a showroom?

No. We're an online-only store. Your order ships directly from the manufacturer's, distributor's, or fulfillment partner's warehouse in the United States.

Can I talk to someone before I order?

Yes. Call us at (904) 621-2505 or email support@backyardkitchensdirect.com, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern Time. We can help with specs, fit, fuel type, and shipping questions.

What payment methods do you accept?

Our secure checkout accepts Shop Pay, PayPal, and major credit cards.

Do you charge sales tax or extra fees?

Shipping costs and any sales tax are shown at checkout before you pay. We don't add fees after checkout.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes. You can cancel for a full refund any time before your order ships. After it ships, follow the return process in our Return and Refund Policy.

Shipping and Delivery

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes, to the lower 48 states and Washington, DC on every product we sell, with one exception: Crown Verity orders under $4,000 have a flat $150 curbside freight charge. Crown Verity orders of $4,000 or more ship free. See our Shipping Policy.

Where do you ship?

We ship to the lower 48 states and Washington, DC. We don't currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, APO/FPO addresses, or P.O. boxes.

How long will delivery take?

Most orders arrive in 6 to 13 business days: 1 to 3 business days to process your order, plus 5 to 10 business days in transit. If a product needs longer, its product page will say so.

How are large items delivered?

Grills, griddles, islands, refrigerators, carts, and other large items ship by curbside freight. The carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery window. The driver brings the shipment to the curb or the end of your driveway. Curbside delivery doesn't include carrying the item into your yard, unpacking, or installation, so plan to have help.

How do I track my order?

You'll receive tracking information by email when your order ships. If you order more than one item, they may ship from different warehouses and arrive on different days. If your order hasn't arrived within 13 business days, contact us and we'll trace it with the carrier.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Inspect the shipment before you sign. Count the boxes, note any damage on the delivery receipt, and take photos. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery about damaged, defective, missing, or incorrect items, and we'll arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you.

Returns and Refunds

What is your return policy?

You can return a new item within 30 days of delivery if it's unused, not installed, and in its original packaging with all parts. Contact us for a return authorization before sending anything back. For change-of-mind returns, you pay return shipping and a 25% restocking fee applies. Full details are in our Return and Refund Policy.

When will I get my refund?

We issue the refund to your original payment method within 7 business days after we receive and inspect the return. Your bank or card issuer may take a few extra days to post it.

Can I exchange an item?

Yes. We can exchange an item for the same product under the same conditions as a return, with no restocking fee. We ship the replacement once we receive and approve the returned item.

Products and Installation

Which brands do you carry?

Our featured brands are Blaze, Bull Outdoor Products, Crown Verity, Monument Grills, Summerset, and Wildfire Outdoor Living. We also carry select grills and smokers from other manufacturers.

What's the difference between a built-in and a freestanding grill?

A freestanding grill sits on its own cart and doesn't need any construction. A built-in grill is a grill head only. It's installed in a non-combustible enclosure or outdoor kitchen island, with the cutout, ventilation, clearance, gas, and electrical work planned by a qualified installer.

Do your gas products run on propane or natural gas?

Most of our gas grills, griddles, and burners are offered in propane or natural gas versions. Choose the one that matches your gas supply on the product page. Some models run on propane only, and the product page will say so.

How do I know a product will fit my space?

Product pages have Specifications and Overall Assembled Dimensions tabs, including cutout sizes for built-in units, and a Manuals tab with the manufacturer's documents. If you're unsure, contact us before you order and we'll help with measurements and fit.

Do you install what you sell?

No. We don't provide installation. Have a qualified technician make gas and electrical connections, and review the installation manual in the Manuals tab before you build an enclosure for a built-in unit.

Warranty

Who handles warranty claims?

Products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. For most brands, contact us and we'll handle the claim for you or connect you with the manufacturer. Some brands, such as Crown Verity and Monument Grills, handle warranty claims directly. The Warranty tab on the product page lists their contact details.

Where can I find the warranty for a product?

Each product page has a Warranty tab that explains the coverage and where to find the manufacturer's full terms. Coverage periods vary by brand and by component.
