Monument Grills FAQ

We carry Monument's Eminence 405 and Eminence 605 freestanding gas grills, plus the Monument accessories that fit them: grill covers, flame tamers, a natural gas conversion kit, a reversible cast iron griddle, the multifunction cast iron grate and its round cooking plate, diamond grid and pizza stone, a grill rack, a smoker box, a grill basket, drip pans, and tongs and spatula. Both Eminence grills are freestanding cart grills. Monument's owner's manuals say not to build them into a built-in or slide-in enclosure. Keep at least 24 inches from combustible surfaces at the back and sides, and don't use the grill under an overhead combustible structure.

Both ship set up for propane and take a standard 20 lb propane tank with an overfill protection device (OPD). The tank isn't included. The Eminence 405 runs on propane only, per Monument. The Eminence 605 can be converted to natural gas with Monument's Natural Gas Conversion Kit (97352), sold separately.

Use Monument's Natural Gas Conversion Kit (97352). Monument says it includes the hardware and tools for installation. Have a qualified gas technician install the kit and make the gas connection, following the kit instructions and your owner's manual. The kit fits Monument's NG-convertible grills: the Eminence 605, 41847NG, Denali 605 and 77352NG. It doesn't fit the Eminence 405. Shop the conversion kit.

The Eminence 605 comes with a rotisserie kit, two meat probes, an aluminum drip pan and a grease tray. The Eminence 405 comes with meat probes, and its display tracks up to two. Both grills have an LED touch display and a Bluetooth app for temperatures, alerts and timers. The 605 also shows your propane level with a built-in tank scale.

Covers and flame tamers are sized by grill: the A003 cover and A118 flame tamer fit the Eminence 405, and the A008 cover and A119 flame tamer fit the Eminence 605. Monument lists the multifunction cast iron grate (A104), smoker box (98457) and drip pans (A117) as compatible with both. Per Monument, the grill rack (A203) fits all Monument grills and the grill basket (A115) fits all gas grills. The round cast iron cooking plate (A200), round diamond grid (A201) and cordierite pizza stone (A202) are round inserts. Monument confirmed they need the Multifunction Cast Iron Grill Grate (A104) to be used. Lift out the grate's 12-inch round center and set the insert in its place. The grate and each insert are sold separately.

Per the Eminence owner's manuals, Monument covers the grill for the original purchaser with proof of purchase from an authorized retailer, under normal residential use: a 5-year limited warranty on the grill; 10 years on a stainless steel firebox (5 years enamel); 10 years against rust-through on stainless steel burners; 5 years on a stainless steel lid (2 years on painted and glass parts); 5 years on flame tamers and cooking grids; and 2 years on electrical components. The igniter, batteries, paint loss, discoloration and surface rust aren't covered, commercial or rental use voids coverage, and coverage applies only in the United States and Canada.
